Mrs Sarah Crizzle (nee Fawcett) BMus [Hons]

Sarah Crizzle (nee Fawcett) started playing the piano at 5 years old and the flute at 14 years. She quickly progressed to advanced level in both instruments, and went onto study Music first at Leeds College of Music, then the University of Sheffield where she specialised in performance and composition. Finally, she followed a post graduate specialist music teaching course at Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds.. More recently, she has added to her professional teaching by following the Dalcroze Eurhythmics course in music education.

Initially, Sarah worked in secondary schools providing the platform and opportunity to refine the teaching skills she had acquired. She progressed to Head of Music at an all girls school, and then felt called to move into private practice in 2004. Since then, she has developed a large portfolio of pupils ranging from age 5 to 75 years old and teaches on a one to one basis both face to face and, if need be, online.

Many of Sarah's students play for pleasure, and many also enjoy the challenge of progressing through the ABRSM and/or Trinity Guildhall piano and flute exams. It is not surprising that many of them progress to read music at music college and university.

She teaches in Leicester.
