Mezzo Soprano Louise Mott has taught Singing at Okehampton College since 2005. In 2016 she returned to teaching Singing at Chulmleigh College, in 2017 started teaching at Bideford College and in 2020 started teaching at Atlantic Academy. As well as teaching, she is a busy freelance singer performing in opera, oratorio and recitals across the UK and abroad. Louise Mott studied singing at the Guildhall School of Music, Royal College of Music (supported by a Wolfson scholarship) and National Opera Studio (supported by Sybil Tutton and Ralph Vaughan Williams awards).

Louise has sung with all the major opera companies in the UK and opera roles include Ariodante for English Touring Opera; Katarina Schratt in Mayerling for The Royal Ballet at The Royal Opera House; Larina in Eugene Onegin for Scottish Opera on Tour; Fidalma in The Secret Marriage and Annina in Der Rosenkavalier for Opera North; Bradamante in Alcina for ENO; Annio in La Clemenza di Tito for WNO; Edith Alfred, Agrippina, Ariodante, Sesto in Giulio Cesare, Orlando, Rosmira in Partenope, Serse and Dido in Dido and Aeneas for The Early Opera Company; Meg Page in Falstaff, Count Orlofsky, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Flora in La Traviata and Nicklausse in Les Contes d'Hoffmann for Diva Opera in the UK and on tour in Europe.

Other highlights have included Marcella inAlban (Tom Wiggall) at St Albans Abbey; Marcellina in Marriage of Figaro and Second and Third Lady in The Magic Flute for Opera Project; Meg Page in Falstaff for Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern; Mozart's Requiem and Solemn Vespers for the Bach Choir and the OAE at the Royal Festival Hall, London; Helen in King Priam at the Brighton Festival, Elgar's The Kingdom, Bach's St Matthew and St John Passions and Messiah (Mozart edition) at Truro Cathedral; Bach's B minor Mass at Exeter Cathedral; Waltraute in Die Walküre for Secret Opera.

Recent engagements include Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro and Tisbe in La Cenerentola for Diva Opera, Nicklausse/Muse in The Tales of Hoffmann (and Charlotte (cover) Werther) for English Touring Opera, Verdi Requiem at Oxford Town Hall; Messiah at Wells Cathedral; Mayor's Wife in Jenufa for Longborough Festival Opera.

Other roles performed recently include Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly and Zulma in L'italiana in Algeri for Diva Opera, and Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito and Angelina in La Cenerentola for Red Earth Opera.
