Instruments: Classical Singing
Genre/Style(s): Classical singing
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

I have been teaching classical singing in Oxfordshire for over 15 years, at my home in Cholsey and also in Summertown, Oxford and St Hilda's, Oxford. I teach in many Oxfordshire private schools, including Magdalen College School and St Edward's.

I have professional experience of singing both solo and chorally, from Early Music to, most recently, Wagner, from The Sixteen to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden (I left ROH in 2016 to focus on my freelance career). I aim to help every singer achieve their fullest potential, no matter what their ‘Fach’, and understand through personal experience the varied challenges of different genres of classical singing.

I believe in teaching a strong foundation of classical technique, which will give each student the confidence and skills to express and interpret their repertoire, with musicality, flexibility and strong vocal health. My students have gone on to take up places at Conservatoire and choral awards at Oxbridge. Many of my students sing with the National Youth Choir, and achieve excellent results in their singing exams.

My experience as a teacher and as a professional singer has been in classical music, so I do not accept students who wish to study belt or popular music vocal techniques.
