Notes:

I am a British composer and teacher currently based in Aberdeen, Scotland, with years of teaching experience. I provide music lessons for voice, piano, violin and music theory, as well as composition and general music tuition for school and higher eduction levels.

Although I am a classically trained musician, I use a variety of teaching methods, gathered from years of experience as a music teacher and academic. As a student you will receive a solid grounding throughout your musical development, with lessons tailored to your individual needs, with the aim of furthering musical development through fun and engaging lessons. I teach students from the age of 6 and above, from beginner to advanced level. No matter what your musical experience or ability, I encourage you to get involved with music.

I was born in Bath, England and grew up in the counties of Wiltshire and Somerset. Having previously completed my undergraduate studies at Falmouth University, Cornwall, I then went on to complete a Master of Music Degree at the University of Aberdeen under the direction of Welsh composer Paul Mealor. I have worked with multiple ensembles and musicians throughout my academic and professional practice, including professional standard choirs, orchestras and composers. I sung Beethoven 9 at Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms in 2018, under the direction of Simon Halsey and Donald Runnicles. As well as Handel Messiah at Bath Abbey and VSA Sing, Sing, Sing in Aberdeenís recently renovated Music Hall, 2019. In September 2018 my setting of Ave Maria for SATB choir received its world premier in Kingís Collage Chapel, Aberdeen. I am currently the Co-director of the Braeside Singers, based in Aberdeen.
