With over 10 years of experience teaching across all genres, I believe that learning an instrument is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things you can do! No matter what age you are, or where you are up to, I can help you on your journey to being a better musician.

I teach from my home in EN5 or alternatively on Zoom/Skype (depending on COVID restrictions). I pride myself on designing fun, engaging lessons that are bespoke to the student and use thoroughly researched methodology. My tuition focuses on developing ownership, leadership and confidence alongside musical ability; in the hope that students will develop core skills in self-analysis, time management and practice discipline.

I am currently a lecturer in music performance, composition, songwriting and music theory at the University of Kent alongside my role as a musical director for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra's Academy programme. I have experience in both primary and secondary education and a valid CRB certificate alongside up-to-date safeguarding training. I am comfortable teaching jazz, classical and popular music and happy to teach ABRSM/Trinity exams if you wish.

As a performer, I have released a number of albums to critical acclaim from The Guardian, TimeOut and Jazzwise magazine alongside extensive radio play on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3 and JazzFM. I've also toured Europe with various ensembles, playing some of the biggest festivals in the world (Glastonbury, BBC Proms, North Sea Jazz, Jazz Middelheim, Ronnie Scott's etc.). From time to time you may also see me on the television for X Factor and Britains Got Talent with the likes of Little Mix and Robbie Williams.

I would love for you to come and study with me, so don't hesitate to drop me a line.
