I started playing the clarinet over twenty years ago, and the saxophone soon after. I did my undergraduate degree in Music at Liverpool Hope University. Whilst at Hope I received the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra scholarship and received tuition from Thomas Verity of the RLPO for the duration of my studies. I am currently a postgraduate student at the University of Liverpool studying my Masters in Music Performance. I play clarinet with Wirral Symphony Orchestra and Liverpool University Symphony Orchestra, and have also played saxophone with Wirral Symphony Orchestra. I have also played with Chester Philharmonic for Chethams International Piano Festival, Wirral Orchestra, and a solo performance for charitable causes.

I also have a strong interest in teaching and have experience teaching both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. I recently received a distinction in my Pedagogy module. This involved research into different learning styles, with particular reference to teaching adult learners, along with an assessed presentation and critique of my own teaching.
