Dan is graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire's prestigious jazz course. He began learning the saxophone at an early age and from then on music is all he has wanted to pursue becoming well versed in classical and jazz. Alongside saxophone he also plays Piano to high standard. Throughout the years Dan has played in numerous bands over the years (Jazz Orchestras, Big Bands, Orchestras and Wind Bands) whilst also running his own groups.

He has been tutoring privately for over seven years now, whilst also providing support for a high school music department and undertaken work as a peripatetic music teacher for a music service. Dan also regularly delivers workshops to ensembles made up of all ages and abilities to considerable success. He is currently a saxophone tutor at Stratford Girls Grammar School mentoring on a one-to-one basis.

He is passionate about passing on his knowledge and skills, each lesson will be tailored to the individual for the interests or aspirations. Jazz improvisation, theory and harmony and instrumental technique are all taught with goals continually reassessed to make sure the student is challenged whilst keeping it fun and creative.
