Sue Bint

Sue studied violin and piano at the Royal Northern College of Music for four years, graduating GMusRNCM (Hons). She gained her Post-graduate Certificate in Education, was the recipient of the Montgomeryshire Society Music Prize, and in 2009 was awarded MA in Applied Music Education with Distinction.

Sue has had considerable violin and viola teaching experience, successfully preparing students for ABRSM exams, for auditions to specialist music schools, youth orchestras and conservatoires, and has also had several years experience of teaching the most promising local students as a Hampshire Music Hub Scholar teacher. She is a member of the European String Teachers' Association and the Incorporated Society of Musicians, and enjoys teaching string players of all levels from beginner to diploma standard.

Sue is an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) both in the UK and internationally.

In her playing career Sue has worked with eminent conductors such as Richard Hickox and Sir Mark Elder. She currently leads Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra performing at The Anvil, and gives regular recitals with the Speranza String Quartet.
