BA hons Music - Brunel University
Instruments: Music Theory
Genre/Style(s): Music Theory
GCSE/A Level
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

I graduated from Brunel University in 2009 with a upper second class degree in Music, specialising in composition and music technology.
I now work as a sound technician at various West End musicals including The Phantom of the Opera and The Wizard of Oz.
I currently live in Greenwich and am willing to travel in the South East London area (2 mile radius - expenses may be charged for further). I can also arrange online classes over Skype, for those who live further away.

My experience includes:
- 6 years as a GCSE music, beginners piano and theory tutor, ages 6-16.
- Many summers spent as a group leader at summer rock and music camps for 5-16 year old.
- KS2 music teacher at a local independent school, covering 6 month leave.

I believe each persons abilities and approach to learning is different, therefore I aim to gear my teaching towards individual needs. A child may respond better to visual triggers, to a more physical way of learning, or may become more interested if they can relate their learning to their other interests.
I try to create a relaxed enough learning environment that my tutee can express their concerns and not feel intimidated to tell me if they don't understand, and feel proud to see what they have achieved.
