Biography

Christine was born in Sussex to a musical family. She started playing the violin and piano at the age of 6. At the age of 11 she won the U16 Brighton Piano Championships. She was a member of the National Children’s Orchestra for 5 years, leading the second violins. She attended Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2001, learning with Jacqueline Ross, Jessica O’Leary and Marius Bedeschi.

Christine was successful in gaining a place to study violin at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under Matthew Jones, Richard Crabtree and Nick Whiting. She was heavily involved in chamber music, performing with the Beaman Trio and the Salieri Quartet.

After her time in Cardiff, Christine has continued to teach the violin and piano to all abilities and ages. She believes that good teaching nurtures, inspires and has the ability to change lives.

Aside from music, Christine has many other hobbies including being a keen squash player, swimmer and dancer.
