I am a freelance music teacher/musician based in Sheffield.

I have several years experience teaching a range of ages and abilities both privately and in schools. I am also an experienced community musician and have led workshops in schools, care homes, libraries and nurseries which have involved music and movement, music using recycled materials, improvisation and composition.

As a performer, I have been lucky enough to be involved in some exciting projects including filming for BBC's Songs of Praise and performing for the Royal Shakespeare Company. I regularly perform and compose for my folk band Sunfleur and baroque chamber group Ensemble Sonora. I have also played for various theatre productions, operas and contemporary projects around the country.

As a teacher, I do my best to tailor my lessons to the pupil and their interests- I recognise that everyone learns differently and try to apply this to my teaching. I can offer tuition using the ABRSM and Trinity exam syllabuses (I have a 100% pass rate for all students that have undertaken exams) but can plan my lessons based on individual requirements.
