Jeremy Russell is a concert pianist and taught as a member of the keyboard faculty of the Royal College of Music, London for 22 years. Whilst Jeremy enjoys working as a performer he also has a keen interest in teaching, and specialises in developing piano technique and providing remedial solutions for aspiring pianists of all levels.

After leaving University, Jeremy studied advanced piano performance as a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music in London, under Michael Matthews and John Barstow.

He won a number of major prizes, including the Directors' Prize and was appointed official accompanist for the Royal College entrance auditions.

After leaving the Royal College of Music, he won a British Council scholarship to study at the Chopin Institute in Warsaw, was a finalist in the Overseas League, a finalist in the Jose Iturbi Piano Competition, and one of the first recipients of the Lord Boyle Trust.

Jeremy has extensive professional experience as a performer working in this country and abroad as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician.

He has been closely involved with the Music Federation movement, having been official accompanist at Skipton Music Festival and Wharfedale Festival for many years and official accompanist for the Federation Northern Regional Finals. He has recently been appointed Chairman of Skipton Festival.

Whilst he enjoys working as a performer, Jeremy also has a keen interest in music education, having taught piano and chamber music at the Royal College of Music, London for 22 years.
