Notes:

An enthusiastic and committed teacher, I enjoy working with a wide range of pupils aged 6 to 75, helping them to achieve their aspirations and goals whilst developing musicality and technique for a life-long enjoyment of music-making.

Many of my younger pupils have been awarded prizes at Regional Musical Festivals, from the ABRSM, auditioned successfully to study at University and Conservatoire, and have become principal players in youth ensembles across the East of England, including the Suffolk Youth Orchestra, Aldeburgh Young Musicians and at Pro Corda.

Enquiries from are adults are welcomed too. Over the years I have taught adult beginners, helping them to realise a love of learning a new skill, and players who are returning to their instrument after a break of many years, most often beginning with a course of refresher lessons or help with a particular aspect of their playing. I have encouraged many of my adult pupils to join ensembles and several have joined amateur ensembles such as Waveney Strings, Woodbridge Orchestral Society, Ipswich Orchestral Society and the Wolsey Orchestra.

Alongside my private practice and work with Suffolk Music Hub, I have directed Suffolk Young Strings at Snape Maltings Concert Hall, coached for ESTA & the Ace Foundation and have enjoyed collaborating on educational projects with Aldeburgh Music, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

* Member of the European String Teachers Association.
* I undertake regular 'Safeguarding in Education' training and a copy of my CRB is available upon request.
