Notes:

a professional musician/performer for over 30 years, I currently work for The SouthWest Music School as a mentor and tutor, and also as an instrumental tutor at AMATA, Falmouth University. I am DBS checked.
My main expertise is in improvisation; I have played and recorded as a Jazz/Rock/World soloist, worked for The Kneehigh Theatre and provided music for a West End production celebrating the careers of Morecombe & Wise.
An ex pupil of mine was in 2014 a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the year in the woodwind section- the first person to achieve this on Saxophone.
HOWEVER I have also built up a fair amount of experience teaching classical piano, and currently teach ABRSM grades up to level 7, or Jazz Grades up to 5. I'm also able to provide coaching for Grade 5 theory, and for GCSE assignments for composition; supporting that, I can help with the use of Sibelius composing software.
I am also happy to teach flute up to Grade 5, or Jazz up to more advanced level.
