A concert pianist with more than 15 years of experience as well as a piano teacher and an accompanist (about 13 years as private and employed teacher), I am confident I could make a real, positive impact on young (and not so young!) musicians’ life. I have got a serious experience in teaching students of all levels, ages and backgrounds. This started back from the time I was a Moscow conservatoire postgraduate student and then an assistant to a professor. After moving to the UK in 2007, I continued my teaching practice as a private teacher (aside of my career as a concert pianist and my studies at the Royal College of Music), successfully helping students to prepare for the recitals and ABRSM grades. In 2010 I was invited to work as an assistant to one of the RCM professor and in 2012 was employed as a piano and chamber music coach at the RCM Junior Department. Apart from teaching, this work also involves preparing students for the performances, competitions and festivals in college and outside. Since then a number of my RCMJD students achieved successes within RCMJD and outside, winning awards and playing in the prestigious venues. This includes: Marjorie Humby Memorial Prize, Barbara Boissard Junior Concerto Prize, Hastings Concerto Competition Prize, performances at the Wigmore Hall, the Southbank Centre, St John’s Smith Square, multiple concerto performances with orchestras, including the Brighton Festival.

Having my Russian piano school as a background, I pay a special attention to the technical aspects of a performance (including body freedom, velocity, evenness and individuality of the fingers, ability to produce a singing tone and others). In fact, my Doctoral dissertation ‘Applying the Principles of Sergey Rachmaninov's Performance in my own Practice’ dedicated largely to some specific features of Russian piano school and how they might be applicable for the contemporary performance.

I have also received quite a large number of International awards and enjoyed an international career as a musician. This, together with some experience as a Jury member, enables me to understand the profession of a musician from within. I believe, I have excellent interpersonal skills. I am very persistent, committed and energetic in achieving a result and pushing students to their maximum.
