I am a composer and postdoctoral researcher based in York. My first study instrument during my BA in Music was the trumpet.

I have taught a wide variety of age groups, from postgraduates at the University of York to primary school students. This has included both private lessons and classes. I am happy to travel to you or host lessons at my house.

As a composer I have worked with the London Philharmonia Orchestra, the Britten Sinfonia and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, amongst many others. My music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and played at the Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Hall. (See for more.)
