Notes:

Since completing five years of study at the Royal College of Music in 1988 I have performed worldwide with many internationally renowned orchestras and chamber groups including the Academy of Ancient Music, English Baroque Soloists and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. I continue to perform at the highest level to this day which I believe is an important aspect of teaching. I enjoy teaching beginners and advanced students alike and treat each student as an individual taking their aspirations and circumstances into account. So much joy can be had through playing instruments such as the double bass and bass guitar with other musicians, and that joy is increased by being able to play to a high standard of musicianship. That is where I can help! I also love teaching music theory because I struggled with it as a child due to poor teaching which did not go at my pace. I subscribe to the DBS Update Service for which I have an enhanced certificate.
