Notes:

I am a peripatetic music tutor, operating in and around Leeds and Skipton. I teach bass, guitar and music theory to musicians of all levels of ability and experience and can adapt my teaching methods to suit the needs of any particular client, having had experience teaching people of a wide age range and in a variety of different styles, both as individuals and in groups. I have also experienced many different approaches to tutoring as a student, both in my time at Leeds College of Music and through my own private tuition and can appreciate and utilise the different aspects of these approaches.

My studies at Leeds College of Music gave me further insight into how many music students, even after completing a whole music course, can struggle greatly with particular aspects of music theory. I am able to give music students a massive advantage for the remainder of their course and beyond. I can give new students a big and very helpful head start and I can also teach people in preparation for applying for certain theory exams. I may be able to give those who want to apply for some courses the boost they need to be successful in doing so. I am also willing to teach grades and am hoping to acquire grades myself at some point in the future in order to understand them further than I already do.
I am an ideal tutor for music students.

My preferred teaching method involves teaching people to teach themselves as well as me teaching them. I can teach people several different aspects of music at the same time, making me a very efficient tutor. I have seen incredible results in all those I have taught over the years. All those I have taught have improved drastically and very rapidly.

I am very enthusiastic when it comes to musical tutoring. I believe that any musician should always be ready and willing both to learn and to teach and I actively seek to do so as both sides of this interaction are extremely beneficial to a person's musicianship.
