Notes:
With over 15 years' experience both privately and in schools, I offer tuition to children from age five and adults, from beginner to Grade 8.
Assistant principal cellist in the Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra and a player with the Felicita String Quartet, I teach privately from my (pet-free, smoke-free) home located midway between Cambridge and Huntingdon.
My teaching philosophy is to:
develop my students’ control of their cellos to effortlessly produce the sounds they want;
nurture their imagination, creativity and ability to communicate emotions through sound;
inspire in them the confidence to perform to others and tell us something new about the music;
and encourage a love of independent learning.
I was most recently DBS checked in September 2019 by the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
