Notes:

Andrew joined the Royal Marines Band service as a Solo Cornet player in 1973. After successfully completing three years at the Royal Marines School of Music, he went on to performing around the world, notably serving for three years on HM Yacht Britannia. Upon leaving the Royal Marines, Andrew’s new career as a brass teacher and freelance performer started, now with many years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, beginner to advanced, and mentoring musicians in the Royal Marines and the army when later he served 27 years in the Territorial Army, many of his students went on to full time music careers in military and civilian organizations.
Andrew has an excellent reputation as a performer in all styles of music, for radio, television, recording, solos and recitals and is very much in demand as a performer and specialist teacher and mentor. Currently Andrew is the principal cornet with the Lympstone South West Comms Band, and performs with orchestras, bands and jazz ensembles throughout the whole of the South and Midlands
Andrews other interests are playing the natural, and vintage trumpets. Also undertaking bespoke brass instrument repairs. He admits owning more brass instruments that he knows what to do with.
