I am a classically trained singer and a vocal pedagogue with over ten years of experience in teaching. I have worked as a voice teacher in the USA and Cyprus and have taught both in a one-on-one setting as well as in a classroom.

Between 2005 and 2007 I was employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Ohio State University while completing my Masters in Vocal Pedagogy.
After my relocation to Cyprus I was employed at the University of Nicosia as an Adjunct Professor in Classical Voice. The past eight years I was also employed at the Nicosia Music Lyceum where I had the opportunity to work extensively with adolescent girls and boys and cultivate a true interest in the developing voice.

In addition to teaching one-on-one voice lessons I also have experience teaching class voice, vocal pedagogy, diction for singers, studio class and small ensemble for voice.

My students have had repeated successes with ABRSM and Trinity College Music grade exams and a number of them have also been successful in receiving admission in several different universities and conservatories in the UK and Europe including the Hague Conservatory, the Vienna Conservatory, the University of Glasgow, the Royal Holloway, the University of Surrey, the University of Aberdeen and Edinburgh Napier University.

I enjoy teaching in a relaxed and straight forward way whilst trying always to establish good technical methods. I try to build voices carefully and slowly, particularly when dealing with young singers, combining all three of the fundamental elements of the voice: breathing, phonation and resonance. Most importantly, however, I like to make the lessons interactive and fun and install the love of singing in every student I come across regardless of their
natural ability. I have taught children, teenagers and adults beginners and advanced students.

While maintaining a full teaching schedule I have also been active as a performer collaborating with various orchestras and opera organisations as a soloist in the US, Italy, Germany and Cyprus. Most recently I appeared with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra as a
soloist for a concert dedicated to the life and work of Tchaikovsky and I also appeared in a collaborative new work titled Fear Industry for two actors and a soprano. Past performing highlights include the performances of the roles of Mimi, Miss Jessel, Pamina, Inez, Countess
Almaviva and Donna Anna and the performance of Pierrot Lunaire as Sprechistimmer.

I am a Summa cum Laude (Honours) graduate of Mercyhurst University with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, Rice University with a Master of Music in Voice Performance and The Ohio State University with a Master of Arts in Vocal Pedagogy. I was a recipient of several Merit Scholarships from all three of the Universities I attended including a full two year scholarship to complete my second Masterís Degree in Vocal Pedagogy.

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy otherwise the full amount of the lesson will be charged.
