Experienced piano teacher with some slots available for new students in the Greenwich/Blackheath area.

I have been teaching privately since 2011 and work with a range of abilities from complete beginners to advanced students of all ages. I teach both casually and through graded syllabuses. I am also able to help with GCSE/A level courses and composition, depending on the student's needs.

Regardless of whether the pupil wants to learn through an exam syllabus or casually, I teach in a manner that is personal to each individual, working at the students own pace so that they not only gain a solid foundation of technique, but an understanding of subjects such as the art of practice, theory, history of music in context and performance anxiety. My approach has been moulded by a diverse range of experiences as well as tuition from some of the country's most celebrated concert pianists. It is my goal to help my pupils gain a clear understanding in all fields so that they are able to work on new pieces independently and effectively. Most importantly however, I seek to let the individual learn in a relaxed, informal environment that nurtures their passion for music.
