My name's Richard, I'm a 26 year old professional electric bassist and have years of touring experience with the likes of Plan B, Maverick Sabre and my own projects. I have played at venues/festivals such as Brixton Academy, Shepherd's Bush Empire, Glastonbury Festival West Holts Stage, V Festival V Stage, Benicassim and more. I have also played live on BBC and Channel 4.

I studied the Higher Diploma and degree at Tech Music Schools in Acton and also completed a BA Music Technology degree at the University Of West London.

In my lessons, made specially for beginner through to intermediate levels, I teach all styles including rock, metal, funk, reggae, jazz, latin, pop and blues. I will travel to your home and teach from there, and will tailor the lessons around your goals to keep you inspired and enjoy playing as much as I have! We will discuss what you like and what you listen to, and take from that a way to get you playing and creating music you love in a short space of time. Playing tools and techniques you will learn can include finger dexterity/stamina, two handed tapping, slap, sight reading, ear training and more. I will focus on sharing my passion for music with you and unlocking your inner voice through the instrument.

Along with my bass guitar experience, I also programmed the backing track sessions for the Maverick Sabre tours and have done a lot of electronic music production work. Music Technology skills can be a very valuable asset to a professional musician, and if you are interested I can teach Logic and Ableton Live as well!
