Notes:

A fully qualified and experienced teacher, I have been giving clarinet, saxophone and theory lessons to adults and children of all abilities for almost 25 years and thoroughly enjoy seeing my students grow as musicians and develop a lifelong love of music.

My lessons aim to provide:

- a safe, welcoming environment
- inspiration and motivation
- practical guidance
- theoretical knowledge
- opportunities for listening, discussion, composing and improvising
- an environment of high expectation and teacher support
- opportunities for creative risk-taking and independence
- performance opportunities
- exam and festival entry
- varied, high-quality repertoire (classical, jazz, rock and pop)
- tips and tricks

A working performer myself, I am also an ex-primary school teacher and deputy headteacher and CRB/DBS-checked. I am a member of the Musicians' Union and have public liability insurance.

Teaching both from my home studio and providing mobile lessons in schools and in pupils' homes in Wiltshire and surrounding counties, my students have a 100% ABRSM exam pass rate and have been successful in festivals, competitions, workshops and recitals across the south of England.
