Notes:

Beccy is a working professional session singer, vocal producer and singing teacher. (please see www.platformstudio.co.uk). She started off studying the Italian voice method of 'Bel-Canto'(meaning ''Beautiful Singing) when she was 14. Although this proved a good basis there were certain aspects of the method she didn't feel comfortable with so she researched different vocal styles and techniques and quite literally located teachers of these methods to study with. Her own teaching method has drawn a little from each of these vocal methods but most importantly is adapted and tailored for each pupil. Beccy believes every singer should have a basic understanding of what is happening technically as they sing and how everything works to enable them to use their voice to it's full potential''. Education about the voice and voice physiology form part of Beccy's lessons which are ideal for working vocalists.

Some points lessons cover are:

Voice maintenance and good practice
Correct breathing, phrasing and the importance of diction
Basic music theory and sight reading
Mic technique ( stage and studio)and stage presence
Improvisation and delivery
Harmonising and ear training Plus many more areas which the pop/rock/MOR singer will come across in practical singing. For pupils wishing to take graded exams Beccy coaches in the Trinity 'Rock School' syllabus.
Whether you're looking for one to one singing lessons or coaching through specific pieces, she believes every singer should have good vocal technique and teaches this as an educational basis for every pupil.
