Mr Aurelien Pinchon

Born in Paris in 1999, Aurélien Pinchon started the cello at the age of six. After his first years of training at the Conservatoire de Lyon (CRR de Lyon), he met Hélène Dautry during masterclasses and joined her class at the Conservatoire de Paris (CRR de Paris) at the age of 15. At the same time, Aurélien benefited from the advices of Geneviève Teulières-Sommer and took part in masterclasses with Marc Coppey and Lluis Claret.
In December 2018, he was received at the Royal College of Music of London, where he got a scholarship.

In chamber music, a discipline for which he developed an important affinity, he received the teaching of Marie-France Giret and took part in masterclasses, notably with the Amatis Trio at the Philharmonie de Paris. In this context, he performed a lot in various places such as the Romantic Life Museum, or during the Beethovenís Festival at the Conservatoire de Paris.
In 2018, he founded the Novalis Trio, with which he began to perform in Paris and in the province. Curious to approach different musical genres, the Novalis Trio explores the classical repertoire as well as the contemporary repertoire and world music. Aurélien also had the opportunity to play in sonata some works of Cassado and De Falla during the Thalie Festival in Grenoble in June 2019.

Attracted very early by the orchestra, Aurélien participated in several academies of the Lyon National Orchestra and performed in semi-professional ensembles such as the Ensemble Parallèle or the Youth Orchestra of Ile-de-France. He now plays with the Notting Hill Film Music Orchestra, in London.

Also passionate about teaching, he gave many private lessons since 2015, but he also had the opportunity to teach occasionally in music schools, public schools, summer academies and conservatories.

Anxious to carry the musical practice outside the walls of the concert halls, Aurélien developed as the president of the conservatoire student association a partnership with Live Music Now (France) to organize concerts in Parisian hospitals.
