Notes:

I have played as Co-Principal Viola of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and have been invited to play as Co-Principal Viola of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. I also perform frequently with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Southbank Sinfonia. With the Southbank Sinfonia I performed Bruch's Romanze as soloist at St. Martin in the Fields. I have also worked on numerous occasions with the most renowned orchestras of Australia including the Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras. I have performed all over the world in venues such as the Concertgebouw, Konzerthaus, Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, Hamer Hall, Sydney Opera House and Notre Dame.

I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium and a Bachelor of Music with class 1 honours in viola performance from the University of Queensland. As well as these I have completed the Professional Performance Programme at the Australian National Academy of Music. During this time I was the recipient of the Harmer Memorial Scholarship and was also awarded first place in the University of Queensland Sleath Performance Prize.

I have enjoyed teaching privately for the past 8 years and have also led workshops and lessons in schools across England and Australia in both one-on-one and group contexts. Over this time I have acquired vast experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. During my Bachelor of Music I elected to study pedagogy which has helped to shape my teaching philosophy. I believe that it is of the utmost importance to teach students based on their individual needs and learning styles rather than imposing a 'one-size-fits-all' approach. This enables students to enjoy their musical education and thus reach their fullest potential.
