Studied church music at Canterbury Christ Church University (BA(Hons) First Class). Currently a PhD candidate in musicology at the University of Bristol, Department of Music.

Studied organ with Malcolm Saxton, Anne Marsden Thomas, and Gerdi Troskie. Participated in masterclasses with Neil Cockburn and Tom Bell.

Studied horn with Marion Sugars, Roger Clark (at Birmingham Conservatoire), and Anthony Halstead in London.

Studied conducting with George Hurst, and Rodolfo Saglimbeni.

Formerly Diocesan Music Adviser for the Diocese of Birmingham, and Assistant Regional Director of the Royal School of Church Music in the north east of England.
