Tommy Fuller is an electric and upright bass player from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. He became interested in the bass as a teenager through both the music of Jaco Pastorius. He furthered his musical studies by attending Leeds College of Music (2013-2014) and the Birmingham Conservatoire (2014-present) as well as, for a short period, studying in Hamburg. He is currently an active musician in Birmingham, Manchester and Yorkshire.

Tommy has been taught bass by the large and guiding hands of: Mark Hodgson, Lucas Lindholm, Arnie Somogyi, and Richard Hammond (not the one from Top Gear)
But also received tutelage from: Mike Walker, Wolf Kerschek, Andrew Bain, Jez Franks, Percy Pursglove and Mike Williams.
Tommy continues to record and write his own music and recently in 2018/2019 toured Italy and Germany with Koloro, a european Jazz trio founded in Hamburg.
Tommy is currently the Bass Guitar and Double Bass tutor at Warwick school in addition to offering in person and online lessons privately. In 2020 he worked as the music facilitator for the Arts Council England funded theatre and music project "The Ding Dong Project" at the Playbox Theatre in Warwick.
In 2018/19 taught as part of the Musicate programme which delivers workshops to primary school aged children across Gloucestershire. He offers bass guitar, upright bass and music theory classes and is keen to share his accumulated knowledge to all learners at whatever pace best suits them. Lessons are relaxed and friendly.
Tommy has been teaching private students aged 7 to aged 60 since 2015.
2017/18: Completed two pedagogy elective modules covering research of pedagogical techniques as well leading assessed workshops for children and for a community Big Band.
Whilst studying music at Conservatoire I regularly experience lessons with some of the UKs best Jazz educators first hand in private lessons or at workshops. Learning methodology from them equips me with well tested and effective tools for my own lessons and workshops.

2012-2016: Volunteering at a local drama group working with primary school aged children, leading workshops as well as ensuring their safety whilst on site before and after classes.
