Notes:
I began learning music at the age of 6 by joining a choir, singing as a soprano until the age of 18 and enrolling in choir competitions such as the Graz World Choir Championship. Having started my classical conservatoire career at the age of 9, I finished twelve years of Spanish classical education (obtaining the equivalent to ATCL Diploma) and specialised in viola performance. In 2017 I graduated from Newcastle University with a BMus in Music, majoring in electronic production and composition, tutored by Michael Gerrard, viola of the Northern Sinfonia. I also spent a year abroad in Italy at the Conservatorio di Musica "F. Morlacchi" doing composition with Edgar Alandia and Alessio Sabella.
I continue to perform as an electronic producer and singer as well as session violinist and improviser performer in Newcastle.
My teaching approach varies from student to student, focusing on their own priorities but drawing special attention to technique, in order to develop a confident skill on the instrument. I also think it is essential to be creative, so would encourage to improvise and write music. I firmly believe in music's therapeutic use, as well as being an exercise on discipline and creativity.
I prefer to teach in the student's space.
