Hi! I'm a violin teacher, working in the Abergavenny (Tues/Wed) and Bristol areas.

My portfolio includes teaching children and adults both in the UK and abroad, in one-to-one and group settings. I love teaching and have always worked hard to provide my students with a personalised, creative and inspiring learning experience using a combination of methods such as Kodaly and Suzuki. I I am very happy to put my students in for exams, however always try to encourage the exploration of a wider repertoire wherever possible. I would describe myself as a down-to-earth tutor who is committed to teaching each student as an individual.

My own musical education has included attendance at both Chethamís School of Music, and at the Royal Northern College of Music, where I studied under Benedict Holland and Thomas Kemp. I also studied pedagogy as part of my degree. I also have an MA in Development Studies (International Development) from the University of Manchester, which I used in part to explore the relationship between music and social justice. Prior to my education in Manchester, I studied with Rhiannon Davies, and former Royal Ballet player Phil Stokes.
