I am a freelance bass trombonist and brass teacher based in Cardiff. I completed my undergraduate musical education at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating with BMus (Hons) in 2010. I was subsequently awarded a scholarship to undertake postgraduate study at the Royal College of Music and graduated with MPerf (Distinction) in 2012. While at the Royal College of Music, I was awarded the Herbert Samuel Memorial Prize for Bass Trombone.

I have a wealth of freelance experience with professional orchestras, including Opera North (Extras List), BBC National Orchestra of Wales (Trial 2010-2011), Philharmonia Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, New London Sinfonia, Southern Sinfonia, Brandenburg Sinfonia, British Sinfonietta, Contemporary Music Ensemble of Wales, Sinfonia Cymru, The Welsh Sinfonia, Arts Symphonic Orchestra, Cardiff Sinfonietta, and Southern Pro-Arte Orchestra.

I have performed in recordings of soundtracks for Doctor Who (BBCNOW), Hidden Kingdoms 3D (BBCNOW), The Crimson Field (BBCNOW), and BBC Children in Need 2014. I have also worked with Bryn Terfel (Sweeney Todd), Russell Watson (2012 Tour) and Zola Jesus (Metropolis Music), performed at Karl Jenkins 65th Birthday Concert (S4C) and undertaken session work at Angel Studios.

Following graduation from RCM, I have taught on a private basis and also through City Music Services. After spending five years in London, I have now returned to my home in Wales and will be continuing to develop my career from a base in Cardiff. I am available to teach throughout the Cardiff area (in your own home).
