Hi there and thanks for stopping by on my profile! I am a freelance musician, based in London where I teach clarinet, saxophone, flute and recorder as well as music theory and chamber music. Jernej Albreht is a versatile clarinettist based in London, he graduated from an intensive one year Master of Arts programme at the Royal Academy of Music, studying clarinet with Christopher Richards, Timothy Lines, Laurent Ben Slimane and Chi-Yu Mo. His studies, for which he received a Distinction and a DipRAM, were generously supported by the Leverhulme Trust and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust. For his undergraduate studies he was awarded a Distinction from the same institution. Jernej also took part in the Erasmus Programme at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris where he received tuition from Pascal Moragues, Arnaud Leroy and Jérôme Comte.

His main interest lies in orchestral music making. Jernej is regularly appearing with various orchestras in the UK and abroad either as an extra or as a trial player.

Jernej held trials with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia and as well appears as an extra player with London Philharmonic Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. He has also performed as a guest principal clarinet with Irish Chamber Orchestra, RTÉ National Orchestra and Wexford Opera Orchestra.

As a chamber musician, Jernej is an active member of the group Tritium Trio, which he co-founded with Lydia Hillerudh (cello) and Joseph Havlat (piano). They have performed recitals around UK and have been awarded distinctions by the Royal Academy of Music. The group held a Chamber Music Fellowship in the season 2017/2018 and was also an Audience Award winner at St Martin in the Fields Chamber Music Competiton 2017.

Jernej runs a teaching collective Lammas Green Music Studio together with violist Jill Valentine, through which they educate audiences either in 1-1 lessons or by blogging and other digital content. He also substitutes as a clarinet and saxophone teacher at German School London.
