Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

I will teach you in a way that enables you to make very rapid progress so that you need fewer lessons and have a clear, structured approach. You will learn techniques to help you practice properly and master all aspects of music making including song writing and improvisation.

We will use the popular and enjoyable Rockschool syllabus for piano and guitar which covers all styles of playing. Also available is the Trinity and ABRSM syllabus's all of which are world renowned and recognised qualifications.

Importantly, grade examinations are now accredited at GCSE and A level and grade 6 to 8 give UCAS points used towards gaining university entry.

Lessons are always rewarding and enjoyable, creative and inspiring! The student learns many essential and transferable skills which can radically alter life outcomes in future giving confidence for job interviews and management roles in the work place through performance experiences and the increased personal confidence that playing a musical instrument can give.

My school aims to teach 10 lessons per term giving time in between for practice. The lessons are paid for by standing order.

I have excellent exam results and many excellent references available on request.

I prefer to travel to you to give the lessons as it is much more practical for the lessons to be taken on the instrument you will play regularly.
