Notes:

I sang as a chorister in St.Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh and then went on to study piano, violin, viola and composition at St. Mary's Music School, Edinburgh. In my final two years I took singing lessons with Eric Ibler and rejoined the Cathedral Choir as a choral scholar.

After gaining a scholarship offer, I accepted a place at the RCM where I spent four years singing under Neil Mackie and Ashley Stafford. My particular interest in early music led me to pursue postgraduate vocal studies at the Scola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland where I received training from Ulrich Messthaler, Evelyn Tubb, Gerd Türk, and Dominique Vellard. I continued to live in Basel for a further eight years and alongside classical music, I also sang jazz and funk.

Now back in Edinburgh, I've also returned to the cathedral and have been singing there as a bass lay clerk since May 2016, as well as providing vocal coaching for the choral scholars.

I'm happy to teach students of all ages and levels of ability
from my home in the centre of Edinburgh or from the comfort of your own home. In addition to exploring a wide variety of exciting repertoire, I place importance on the development of a solid technique through physical and musical exercises.
