I'm a drummer, composer and saxophonist based in St Albans/London, and playing in diverse contexts as a sideman and bandleader. Music education represents an integral part of my life and career and I am passionate about passing my experience and enthusiasm for music education onto the next generation of young musicians. With both of my parents being professional musicians, my life has been surrounded by music, from school and district ensembles, to further study at university and conservatoire, to live gigs, commissions and recordings as a freelance musician. This breadth of experience allows me to teach a range of subjects, including drums, saxophone, composition, music theory, piano, Sibelius notation software, group workshops in percussion/ukulele etc.

I can tailor lessons to all ages and I'm very flexible in what I can deliver depending on what you want to get out of your musical journey: I'm happy to prepare for exams, auditions, or just play! I want to make as many people experience as much music-making as possible, it can be such an enriching part of your life.

Having taught drum kit on a private basis since 2011, (ages 5 -18, beginner to grade eight), I have experience in balancing challenging student's technique and maintaining enjoyment for learning an instrument at a young age. I am currently building on this teaching experience by enrolling in the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music, a specialised teaching qualification focussed on one-to-one lessons, pedagogical theory, UK national teaching practices. I have also gained experience in group-based teaching through various workshops at various infant/primary/secondary schools in St Albans (2012-present), and being a member of London-based samba band - Rhythms of the City (September 2018-present).
