Mr Robert Masarachi

Taught By Noel Broome (Royal Northern Sinfonia)
Clarence Myerscough (Royal Academy of Music)
Technical support from Elisabeth Matesky (Chicago resident and student of Jascha Heifetz and Nathan Milstein).
Instruments: Violin
Genre/Style(s): Classical
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

I have taught for many years in London. Apart from an extensive list of private students, I was principal violin tutor at the following music centres:
Middlesex University 1997 - 2003
The Jonas Foundation Music School London 1997 - 2012
Glendower Preparatory School London 2012 - 2017
St. Patrick's RC Primary School Plumstead 2012 - Dec 2016
I am now permanently located near to Berwick-upon-Tweed and have my own large music studio in a beautiful rural setting.
I teach using a Russian style of technical training involving a solid basis in scales. My student's scales are usually at least two years ahead of their playing grade. I will teach grades as required, but my main interest is in developing the best musician possible based on the student's ability. I have a long proven record of teaching beginners and taking them as far as they are able. I have had many students of Diploma level.
As well as teaching, I had an extensive playing career in London and the Home Counties; I was Concert Master of three orchestras and played in many others. I also occasionally played concertos: Bruch Scottish Fantasie: Sibelius Concerto: Vaughan Williams 'The Lark Ascending' and many Baroque concertos.
Please feel free to contact me and discuss, without obligation, your requirements. I will make home visits in the Berwick and Borders region.
