Notes:

Whether you are a beginner or you already have some experience, I feel that my task as a teacher is to inspire my students and to help them to get the most enjoyment and success that they can out of learning the cello. My lessons are creative, varied and tailored to the learning style of the pupil. I aim to give my students a strong technical understanding that they can use to let out their musical ideas to the best of their potential. I also incorporate improvisation and duets into lessons to expand imagination and musicality. Once a term, I give all my adult pupils the opportunity to play together as a cello ensemble, which is a really enjoyable experience for them and for me and is a chance for my students to experience playing with others.

Ultimately, music is about expression, communication and the pleasure of playing, and I aim to always keep this in mind as I teach.

I teach music theory and aural alongside cello, when required, or can teach seperate lessons in one or both of these.

I teach predominantly from my house, which is in the Grangetown area of Cardiff, although I am also willing to travel.

Please get in touch with any questions or to arrange a free taster lesson.

I offer a student discount and also a discount for siblings.
The first lesson is always free of charge!
