Biography

My name is Tom Moore and I live in Newcastle. The first instrument I began learning how to play was the flute at the age of 8. By the time I was 13 I wanted to learn how to the electric guitar so that I could play in rock bands. <br />

I have since played in a range of rock, pop, folk and jazz bands both through my contact with musical institutions and social interactions with other musicians. I have great fondness for learning music theory, music technology and learning new instruments. Over the last 2 years I have concentrated on improving my skills playing the electric bass. <br />
Furthermore I majored in Popular music composition for my Music Degree at Newcastle University. This involved writing, recording and mixing an album length of original music using the Universities Music studio. <br />

I am happy to provide tuition involving music theory, music technology and composing on top practical guitar tuition.
