Rebecca Barry is a young Mezzo Soprano from Manchester. She has recently completed her Postgraduate studies at RNCM studying under Jane Irwin supported by the DíOyly Carte Trust, Help Musicians UK.
In 2018 she was awarded the Annie Ridyard Scholarship for Mezzo Sopranos. Rebecca was a member of Junior RNCM and was generously supported by the Friends of the RNCM. Upon leaving JRNCM she was awarded The Helen Latto ĎSoroptimistsí prize for Singing and whilst at RNCM the winner of the James Martin Oncken Song Prize. 
In 2016 she performed the role of Witness 3 in the world premiere of David Blake and Keith Warnerís Icarus at Teatro Poliziano, Montepulciano under Roland Böer.
Whilst at the RNCM she performed many leading roles including the title role of Hansel (under the direction of Stephen Medcalf and Anthony Kraus),
Madame de la Haltière in Massenetís Cendrillon (Olivia Fuchs and Martin André) and Irene in a staged operatic production by John Ramster of Handelís Theodora. Other recent highlights include performing Elgarís Sea Pictures with the WSO and Duruflè Requiem with the Academy Choir Wimbledon under Matthew Best.
In summer 2018 she covered the role of Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the The Grange Fesitival.
