Surrey Singing Studio is run by Kate Warshaw, an experienced classical performer and singing teacher based in Thames Ditton, Surrey. Head of the Singing Department and co-founder of Hamilton Music Education and a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS), she has been successfully managing a combined career of performing and teaching for thirteen years.

A secure and healthy technical foundation is of top priority and Kate's experience in the classical and operatic worlds has proven invaluable to her students, whether they be complete beginners or young professional singers forging a career.

Kate has performed all over the World and enjoys an immensely diverse career, ranging from cruise ships to floating stages! In the UK, Kate has worked for Garsington Opera, Opera Holland Park, Aldeburgh Festival and, for the past ten years, has been a regular member of the English National Opera extra chorus, having performed in over twenty productions.

Kate's career has also taken her to Paris where she lived for eighteen months, working for the award winning consorts Accentus and Le Concert d'Astrée. During this time, Kate had the opportunity to hone her language skills, not only French, but German and Italian too. These language skills prove invaluable to students, especially those preparing for Grade exams, conservatoire entry or professional auditions.

Lessons are always tailor-made to suit each student's needs and goals. Some students take the ABRSM or Trinity exams, achieving oustanding results. Many students have gone on to study singing at conservatoire and universtiy level.

Whatever your standard, lessons are fun and inspiring!
