Notes:

I am a professional viola player with a wide range of teaching experience on both violin and viola

I am currently a viola teacher at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama junior department. Previous posts have included Upper Strings Tutor for RNCM Young Strings and violin/viola teacher for Durham University students.

I have been a guest teacher at Wells Cathedral School and am a regular tutor at the Wells International Summer School. I have been teaching privately for 10 years and have also worked for Wigan Music Service, Stockport Youth Orchestra and the Superstrings Club.

I have a keen interest in the psychology of learning and development and use my background in yoga and Alexander technique to inform my teaching methods. Playing should be fun and pain-free and I aim to keep each individual at the heart of our work together.

Learning an instrument can enrich all areas of life and I believe that it is never too late to start! I can offer a free 30 minute consultation for prospective students.
