Notes:

I enjoyed a musical upbringing in Northern Ireland where he studied singing and piano. Upon taking up a place at the University of Reading in 2011 I focussed on his vocal development under the direction of Brian Gordon and now study under Justin Lavender at the Royal College of Music.

Since moving to Reading I took up a vocal Scholarship with the University, a Clerkship into the church of Waltham St Lawrence and a Scholarship with choral organisation Sing for Pleasure for conductors and vocal leaders.

Recent highlights include taking principal operatic roles, performing as Aeneas from Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and later taking on the roles of Paris in Opera at Bearwood’s production of Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet. I was also honoured to have been given the opportunity to perform as a soloist for the world premiere of Oliver Tarney’s setting of the Magnificat and most recently, Joe St. Johanser’s work The Mandarin’s Dilemma playing the part of Bernard Haplesser.

I have a variety of teaching experiences both in school and in private tuition. I have taught a variety of pupils, in a variety of situations; group sessions and one-to-one tuition.

Within my music degree I have had the opportunity take courses in instrumental teaching which have allowed me to look at various styles of teaching to get the most out of each pupil.

I take great pride in my love for the arts and love taking every opportunity to pass on the skills and techniques I have to others who are keen to learn.
