Bachelor of Music Jazz Performance Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music
Instruments: Trumpet
Genre/Style(s): Jazz/improvisation/world musics/classical
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced

First and foremost I always ensure that a student is enjoying the experience of playing and learning the instrument. This is achieved by teaching primarily by ear, thus developing the student as a complete musician as well as an instrumentalist. Establishing a personal understanding of technique in the student is pivotal, and I always teach from the viewpoint of sound, expanding the ear at the same time as the students knowledge of music.

I have 4 years experience of private teaching one-on-one, through which I have developed my own approach to helping the student fulfil their potential. I have also over 5 years of experience in leading creative workshops for people of all ages and learning abilities, as well as experience in leading assemblies for primary school children. I am currently working for the Barbican Creative Learning department leading creative workshops in secondary schools.

I am 25 years of age, born and bred in London, with English and Swedish heritage. I have been playing the trumpet for 15 years. This year I completed my Bachelor of Music at Trinity Conservatoire in jazz performance. My main specialisation is jazz music and improvisation, though I can also teach classical music.
