Notes:
I run my business, The Woodwind Clinic, from my purpose built music studio at home in Kirk Sandall. From here I teach, repair woodwind instruments and also supply Instruments, books and accessories. All of our instruments go though our workshop and are fully serviced, they all confidently come with 12 months guarantee!
I have taught privately for 30 years and have seen hundreds of people, young and old, through .ABRSM examinations grades 1 to 8, both in practical and theory. Some students are currently working for their ARSM after grade 8. This is a new exam started in 2017 and provides a step up from grade 8.
I currently teach at Hall Cross Academy where I also run a wind band. I am currently in my 10th year with them. This school has an excellent performing arts department and I am extremely proud of the work I do there.
I also teach at Trinity Academy in Thorne, again this school has good music provision.
As well as secondary schools I love the work I do at Dunsville Primary School. I believe I am in my 12th year with them. This year I have over 30 children playing flute, clarinet and saxophone. This isn't as a class room lesson as some schools provide, this is one to one. From these students we now have a thriving wind band in it's second year. I also provide year 1, 2 and 3 children with a recorder based group lesson each week. I have 140 recorder players who can confidently read music by year 2.
