Notes:

I have a very wide experience of teaching in many disciplines such as solo, chamber and orchestral ensembles. As a busy freelancing musician on the London scene you can be sure of tuition which is at the highest professional level.

I began playing the violin at the age of five through the Suzuki method and at the age of 16 I attended Chethamís School of Music as a viola player. I studied at the Royal Northern College of Music where I received my BMus (Hons) and also at the Royal Academy of Music gaining my Master of Arts degree with Distinction

Currently I hold the position of Junior Fellow in Chamber Music at the Royal Academy of Music, which I share with my ensemble, the Alauda Quartet. This involves tutoring chamber ensembles at the conservatoire with a special responsibility towards first year students. My experience through the quartet has given me a love of tutoring chamber music and is something I would like to pursue in a teaching position.

In terms of teaching I would feel confident in putting students in for graded exams as I have first hand experience with both the ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall syllabuses. This would include aural training and also the appropriate Music Theory training required for each stage of examinations.

As a hard working and enthusiastic musician I am happy to work with any age range and any ability level. Learning an instrument can be a most rewarding process and finding the right teacher is key to your development. This is why I can offer the first consultation lesson free of charge. I am happy to travel within zones 1 - 3 but will need to charge a small travel expense outside these zones.
