Biography

Maltese pianist Marcelle Zahra has recently successfully finished her MMus (Master of Music) at Trinity College of Music supported by the Malta Government Scholarship Scheme, The Janatha Stubbs Bursary and Trinity College London Scholarship. Marcelle graduated from Napier University (Edinburgh) in 2007 with a First Class Honours in Music and was awarded the University Class Award Medal 'in recognition of her outstanding achievements'. She is a frequent performer having previously appeared in venues such as the Queen´s Hall in Edinburgh and Manoel Theatre in Malta.
For the past four years Marcelle has developed a diverse experience of teaching music, working with pupils from across the age range and whose abilities range from beginner to grade 8. She also have been involved in teaching groups and running week-long beginnersí workshops for children during the Easter and Summer breaks.
Marcelle is a reliable, committed individual who is a good communicator. A combination of teaching experience and professional teacher-training, has helped her understand the importance of paying attention to detail at every stage of her pupilsí learning process. She believes strongly in teaching her pupils according to each of their individual needs, and helping them reach their aims by carefully setting objectives for them whilst making the learning process an enjoyable one.
