Marie Atter is an accomplished pianist and piano tutor. She has 12 years of teaching experience and is an active solo and chamber pianist in Cambridgeshire. Marie is a passionate, dedicated and patient teacher.

From 20052008, Marie studied music at the University of East Anglia, where she specialised in piano performance under the direction of Christopher Green-Armytage. In her final year, Marie was awarded the Britten-Pears scholarship and a First class BA (Hons) music degree.

After graduating, Marie ran the music department at Sancton Wood, an Independent School in Cambridge. Alongside classroom teaching, she taught piano lessons at the school, where most of her students achieved merits or distinctions in their ABRSM exams. After recently gaining her PGCE from the University of Cambridge, Marie now works as a freelance piano teacher/pianist.

Marie tailors her lessons to the individual, which can be for enjoyment or with the aim of sitting graded exams. Free 15 minute taster lessons are offered. Lessons are taught from home.
