Biography

Matt Leeder has been playing guitar for 17 years – the last 8 of those as a professional musician in a variety of contexts. Up until last year his band, Electralyte, were attracting much acclaim from the music industry. Matt’s playing can be heard on many recorded works as well as being used for soundtracks on television.

Matt has performed to over 100,000 people – appearing as himself, with his band or as a session musician. Matt’s live portfolio has seen him perform in the Royal Albert Hall, Notts County Football Stadium and Butlins holiday parks all around the country(!) Matt began playing guitar in his early teens learning riffs from Pink Floyd tracks and working it out by ear. He studied music at degree level at a Brunel University affiliated college and studied guitar as his first instrument. He is well versed and able to play in a variety of styles.

Matt also plays bass guitar and dabbles with piano, drums and euphonium! Matt is also an experienced and proven song writer. He has experience working with, teaching and training a variety of age groups. He is fully CRB checked and trained in child safety best practise.
