I am a friendly and approachable teacher of violin and viola with a private teaching practice in Portishead, aswell as teaching at Clifton College and Clifton High School in Bristol. I teach a wide range of ages and abilities from complete beginner to advanced, age 5 to adult.

Lessons are structured to suit individuals and I aim to make lessons informative with a strong element of enjoyment. I am happy for students to work towards ABRSM exams, or for them to play simply for pleasure. I am fully CRB checked and can offer advice on purchasing an instrument.

I am also a freelance viola player and have played with a number of orchestras and chamber groups including Welsh National Opera, the National Symphony Orchestra and the Bristol Ensemble. For a full playing biography please visit
